After her studies in Trade in A Coruña in Spain, Noelia worked for different companies in Spain. It was her strong wish to go abroad and to work in the social field, supporting   less privileged people. And that is exactly what she did: in 2016 she moved to Rotterdam to work as a European Voluntary Service (EVS) volunteer for Lava Legato. Doing this agreed very much with her two passions: to cook and to support young people. The volunteer project went so well, that the collaboration between Noelia and the Lava Legato foundation continued.

Now, she does administrative activities, she helps out the new volunteers, she makes fruit preserve and she guides students who do an internship at Rotterdamsche Confituur. She also runs Leira, a Spanish restaurant, serving Northern Spanish food. Leira serves as a learning company and teaches young people the value of work and how food can be tasteful and healthy at the same time.
